PUSHKAR FACILITIES

                                       

                              Government of Andhra pradesh  is providing the facility of Shelter, resting space for the visiting pilgrims of Krishna Pushkaram.An Open Space Adjacent To The Bathing Ghats Shall Be Converted Into A Pushkar Nagar With Full Roofing Above. A Pushkar Nagar Shall Have The Following Facilities For The Pilgrims:

2. Parking
3. Accommodation
4. Wash Rooms
5. Dress Changing Rooms
6. Drinking Water
7. Food Stalls
8. Lighting Facilities
9. Medical Camps
10. Fire Safety Equipments
11. Bus Stands
12. Public Address System
13. Lcd Tv/projection Points
14. Cloak Room
15. Chappals Stand
16. Information Desks

Food shall be served three meals a day free of cost. Tea and snacks may also be provided. There are facilities for transport as all pushkar nagars will be connected by road transport. Buses shall ply free of cost from pushkar nagars to ghats and back to pushkar nagar. The pushkar nagars shall be a comfortable place of accommodation, resting, fooding for the visiting pilgrims. A total of 38 pushkar nagars are established in and around vijayawada.

Do's And Don'ts At Krishna Pushkaram Ghats 2016:

DO'S:

1. Pilgrims are requested to use the bathing areas/ ghats that are authorized by the pushkaram administration for their safety and security.
2. If any unidentified or suspicious object is located, the pushkaram administration or the police control room should be informed about it.
3. Pilgrims are requested to follow the traffic rules and regulations in the city and the pushkaram area.
4. The directions and advice given through the central public address system may be followed to avoid any inconvenience.
5. Garbage should be thrown only in the dustbins.
6. Pilgrims and travelers are requested to be appropriately attired considering the religious and cultural sensibilities of the event. The local service providers will be happy to give advice on this issue.

DON'TS:

1. Use of plastic bags in pushkaram surroundings is prohibited by the government.
2. Washing of clothes on the river banks should be strictly avoided.
3. Overcrowding of boats must be avoided.
4. Pilgrims and travelers are advised not to encourage beggary.
5. Use of soaps while bathing in rivers should be strictly avoided.
6. Throwing of the materials used for worship or rituals in the river should be avoided
